LEARNING TRAIL AROUND ZELENÁ HORA
The nature trail around Zelená Hora will take you through picturesque corners of the western part of the town Žďár nad Sázavou. The trail is divided into two walking circuits.
Walking circuit A is 2.1 km long and leads around Bránský rybník. There are resting places on the shore of the pond. On the route you can see the buildings of the famous Czech architect Jan Blažej Santini Aichl - Farm yard Lyra and Dolní hřbitov.
Walking circuit B is 2.6 km long and leads past the Konvent pond and the castle of the Kinský nature reserve "Louky u Černého lesa". Along the way, you will come across resting places on the piers of the pond and on boards where you can get to know the rare fauna and flora. On this route, you will also see unusual views of the castle and the pilgrimage church of St. John of Nepomuck (Jana Nepomunckého on Zelená hora.

NATURE RESERVE RANSKO LAKES
The system of forest lakes is hidden deep in the forests of the Ransko reserve. The ponds are originally flooded depressions next to old overgrown heaps of iron limonite ores from earlier mining.

MODEL KINGDOM
In the Žďárský House of Culture, you can see a scale model of the regions railway. An interesting spectacle is not only the seven-meter-long Žďár railway station, but also the cultural monuments in the vicinity.

BEHIND MICHAEL OLŠIAK'S PLASTICS
Michal Olšiak was born in 1978 in Žďár nad Sázavou. After graduating from the local grammar school, he alternately devotes himself to painting, sculpture and travel. He has already had over 10 solo exhibitions. Most of the paintings are painted with oil or mixed techniques. His sculptures are in the Czech Republic, Germany and Italy. He also participated in several international sand sculpting championships where he placed first. Recently, as far as sculptures are concerned, he has been focusing more on monumental sculptures made of concrete and sandstone, which he integrates into the landscape.
